License Sizes & Pricing

LISTSERV is available in three main license types.

LISTSERV Classic is our full-featured email list management software. It is the most popular license type thanks to its flexibility, scalability and performance.
LISTSERV HPO is the high-performance version for large email lists and sites. It includes the same features as the Classic version. Its primary benefit is faster and more efficient handling of large numbers of lists and subscribers.
LISTSERV Lite is our entry-level email list management software and is primarily designed for customers with small workloads who do not require the more advanced features.

System Requirements

LISTSERV is available for Windows 7/2008/2003/2000/XP/Vista; Unix: AIX (PowerPC), FreeBSD, HP-UX, Linux (32-bit, 64-bit and S/390), Solaris (SPARC), Tru64; Mac OS X; OpenVMS (Alpha) and VM.

The integrated F-Secure Anti-Virus system is available for Windows 7/2008/2003/2000/XP/Vista and Linux (32-bit Intel). Other LISTSERV platforms can be protected through the Anti-Virus Station (AVS) service. This virus protection is available for LISTSERV Classic and LISTSERV HPO only.

Windows	Status
Windows 7, 2008, 2003, 2000, XP, Vista	Supported: Currently, only the IA-32 (x86) architecture is supported. Windows XP Home Edition is supported.

Unix	Status
AIX (PowerPC)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on AIX 4.3 and is not supported on older versions. Currently, L-Soft does not provide a 64-bit distribution, but 64-bit support has been tested successfully on AIX.
FreeBSD (Intel)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on FreeBSD 5.4 and may not work on earlier versions.
HP-UX (PA-RISC)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on HP-UX 11.11; older versions are not supported.
Linux (32-bit Intel)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 is available for kernel 2.6 and 2.4.20.
Linux (64-bit)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 is available for kernel 2.6.
Linux (S/390)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on SuSE 7.0 (kernel 2.2.16).
Solaris (SPARC)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on Solaris 8. LISTSERV 15.5 does support Solaris 9.
Tru64 (Alpha)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on Tru64 5.1 and is not supported on version 4 or earlier. LISTSERV 15.5 can fully exploit Tru64's 64-bit address space if relinked without the -taso option.

Mac OS X	Status
Mac OS X (x86)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 is available for Mac OS X Version 10.5 and later (x86 architecture).
Mac OS X (PowerPC)	Last Version: LISTSERV 15.5 is available for Mac OS X Version 10.4.2 and later but will be the last version to support the PowerPC architecture.

OpenVMS	Status
OpenVMS (Alpha)	Supported: LISTSERV 15.5 was built on OpenVMS V7.3 and may not work on earlier versions. Because L-Soft no longer has any working hardware running older versions of VMS, the lowest supported version is V7.3.

At this point, L-Soft has not made any commitments regarding future support for VMS on IA-64. In principle, L-Soft looks favorably to this development, but it is too early to make any commitments.

OpenVMS	Status
VM/ESA, z/VM	Supported, tested up to z/VM V4R2: All year 2000 compliant versions of VM/ESA and z/VM are supported. LISTSERV 15.5 has been developed on VM/ESA V2R4 but has been tested up to and including z/VM V4R2. LISTSERV is XA-exploitive and must run in an ESA virtual machine. LISTSERV supports SFS and RSCS, if they are installed.
